As a person who has used Tri-Sprintec, Sprintec, and is now on Tri-Sprintec-Lo.... the Lo version doesn’t help with acne or heavy periods as well as Sprintec or even Tri-Sprintec but the side effects are much lighter. So I asked to switch back bc I was doing great on regular othro tri cylcen, when I went my insurance only paid for trinessa, and it worked great.
It is because it take a few days after the last active pill for your progesterone levels to level out and trigger your period.
